Jeffrey Plucker has always had a love for sports and writing. Born in Germany where his dad was serving with the United States Army, he moved to the USA as an infant. He has since lived in nine states and traveled extensively.

Growing up Jeff loved to play any sport he could. A natural leader on the field, he learned many lessons through sports that helped him in his adult life and the business world. He attended Auburn University where he played a year with the Men's Club Soccer Team and any intramural sport for which he could find a team. He graduated in 2000 with a degree in Mass Communications, a Creative Writing Minor and a Concentration in Business.

After college Jeff worked in television for a year before going on an interview that would change his life. The job description said "marketing," but it was a door-to-door sales gig. He quickly showed his talents in sales and working with others and was promoted into management. Within six years from that first interview, Jeffrey was a Director of Sales overseeing a state and a year later Regional Sales Director over a multi-million dollar region.

Jeff has managed and motivated thousands of sales reps, often turning poor performing retail outlets into leaders. He learned very quickly that a strong work ethic, great attitude and taking control leads to success--all things he learned from playing sports. He started jotting down notes of these conversation and very quickly realized he had a book waiting to be published. It was a natural transition for Jeff to combine his love of writing and sports with his knowledge of business and selling to create The Sport of Selling: Highlight Reel.

Jeff lives in Atlanta with his wife, son and two cats. He still plays soccer at least once a week and consults with companies on their web presence, marketing, business plans and sales .
