Author Page for Terri Ann Leidich

At the age of 16, Terri Ann sat in her bedroom in a small farmhouse in Northern Minnesota and knew that she would someday be a writer. That dream stayed with her as she became a wife, a mother, and a business woman. Throughout the years Terri continued to write, putting her stories, ideas and thoughts into file drawers with the intention that she would do something with them “someday.” Beginning in 2008, Terri spent a couple of years as a freelance writer and ghost writer, contributing to magazines, as well as helping other writers complete their dreams of finishing their books. She then knew it was time for her to do the same for herself and actualize the dream that began for her as a young girl.

Her first published
books,
From a Grieving Mother’s Heart and For a Grieving Heart are a result of her experience of losing her twenty-year-old-son in a motorcycle accident in 1991. According to Terri, during her ordeal of grief, she searched for books that would speak “heart to heart” instead of “head to head” and found very few available.
Because writing is a passion and a release for her, she journaled an ongoing dialogue of her feelings and experiences through her tremendous loss and has now turned them into books that can help others “put
words to their emotions and feelings to their confusion.” She will be releasing her third book in her series on grieving in the fall of 2011 and her first novel will be released in the summer of 2011.

With a background in marketing and years of experience in owning her own business, Terri also recognized a need for a publishing company that focused primarily on new writers. As a result, she started Boutique of Quality Books Publishing Company in August of 2010. "The company was designed from a writer's perspective, honors the creative process and gives authors the ability to bring their books to the marketplace with the quality aspects of a traditional publishing company and the easy accessibility of the print on demand process. It is not a self-publishing format but one that involves the writer in bringing their book to the absolute best that it can be before offering it to the reading public," Leidich states. "An author and their book must be accepted to be a part of Boutique of Quality Books because we focus on quality writing in all genres.

Terri and her husband Glenn live in Cumming, Georgia and her daughter, Lori, and three grandchildren—Chris, Hillary and Tessa—live in North Carolina.
